It hurts me to complain about an Apple product, as I use my Mac / iPad / iPhone everyday, and they are the tools on which I run my business, and often my life.
However, it has got the stage now that as a development shop we struggle to manage the mess that is Safari....

There has been much speculation on the use of Cloud computing for Financial Services organisations.
Concerns raised have been due to security and data privacy concerns by Compliance departments and various audit bodies.
The IT community, including worldflow, have continued to stress that Financial Services, as one of the biggest global compute users, must use Cloud to be able to survive....

So far so good.
Back on a plane to NY, and a few weeks experience with the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil and some of the Logitech keyboard – more later.
First impressions of the iPad Pro were very positive. A couple of hours and couple of Apps, and very positive with a few niggles....

Interesting spot by Google, although the bug in glibc was reported in July 15. The bug has been out in the wild since 2008, which is interesting that it took so long to spot….. Or maybe not. May have been exploited for a while.
Anyway, if you have external facing services, using Linux, grab a patch, and fix the hole, because now everyone knows about it, and whilst in Googles view it is “hard” to exploit, there are a lot of smart hackers out there, so it is more of a “when”...
