Years ago, I was hosting a retreat.  I was teaching the attendees about decisions and commitment.
Now, we had spent many hours over our three days together getting clarity, setting intention and identifying next steps and big dreams.
I said that in my experience, intention is only the beginning of the movement and the shift.  At some point you have to ground your intention with decisions and commitment and action....

I remember my first taste of real-life personal freedom.
It was about a year after I quit my cubicle job. I was ruthlessly determined to live life on my own terms – so I had done some radical things to earn this delicious moment.
I had sold my car (the one with the monthly payment) and bought an old beat-up car for cash....

This week I posted a video on my Instagram that got lots of comments.
It’s an iPhone video of me doing pull-ups.
And it’s not what you’d expect.

Years ago – back when I was performing music for a living – a motivational speaker almost made me give up on my dreams.
In fact, he told me to give up.
He stood on stage and shared the driving motivations behind his success, each of which were noble and beautiful…...
