Street parties quickly come to mind when thinking and hoping for the end of the Coronavirus lockdown. We will want to celebrate our freedoms with our neighbours, and why not?
You may want to hold a quick spontaneous informal Street Meet with drinks and snacks, without a road closure in a garden, on a pavement, driveway or green space, and drink a toast with friends and neighbours! This would not need any permissions....

The Playing Out group say that 57 Councils are now actively supporting schemes that help children to play in their street with their neighbours.
Playing Out is a great charity that came out of the street party culture in Bristol.
They developed a practical way for temporary play street traffic orders which allow kids to regularly play safely, supervised by adults closing the road....
