The Secret Sun

Last week saw the 10th anniversary of the first - and only real - Stranger Things. It was a near-perfect series of television, but soonafter the franchise was utterly destroyed, for quite ridiculous reasons.
The series became more and more clownish and cartoonish as it went on, as well as more Marvelish. By the end, Stranger Things was the total and complete refutation of its original incarnation. Its final season jumped the shark with such moronic abandon...

Today (July 16th) is the tenth anniversary of the first Stranger Things series, a landmark date sadly forever contaminated by the dumpster-fire sequels and a truly loathsome and cringe-inducing finale.
I’m currently at work on a video presentation explaining how the franchise was so thoroughly infantilized and sabotaged by Netflix, and the following will hopefully give you a sense of why they had to destroy it....
