Dinner- Rick grilled filet mignon to perfection, served with mashed potatoes, lettuce salad, and bread with dipping oil/vinegar choices.
Dessert- dirt cake "holiday style" was so delicious and gobbled up so quickly, we forgot to take a picture! Guess we'll have to make it a tradition and get a shot next year!...

we spent the last week in august in boston with mike, jen, and carolyn. since our last visit (carolyn's 1st birthday in may), carolyn is now WALKING & TALKING and her personality has busted wide open!
we stayed at mike and jen's new home in the mother-in-law accomodations downstairs and really appreciated having a bathroom on the same level! (when carolyn was born and the guest room in the condo was moved downstairs, we would hike up a flight of stairs...
