Byrd Park's Fountain Lake is a great place to rent paddleboats or watch the fireworks in July. Just two blocks from my house it's also a great place to go for a walk--or dry your clothes.

It's a shame the middle of this picture is a bit washed out, but this is a typical afternoon in my neighborhood: people walking their dogs and chatting up wide sidewalks of tree-lined streets. Nope, you don't have to remind me why I love Richmond!

Heading west, here you are on the I-195/The Downtown Expressway reaching a critical question: Southside or West End? It does of course mean you're leaving the best part of Richmond (in my opinion): The Fan.
