Part of the street relaying work of the C P Ramaswamy Street in Abiramapuram took place on Thursday night last week.
Two road rollers continue to remain there with the balance part of the relaying of the road likely to have taken place on the weekend....

The children at Aditya Apartments on Dr. Ranga Road had a breakaway from their online classes doing the pookolam at 6:30 am on Saturday morning for Onam.
They were enthusiastic, waking up early on a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the process. The idea was initiated by one of the residents of the apartment, Ramanarayanan....

The one place that holds some colour and buzz at Onam festival time in this area is the Sri Ayyappa Temple in MRC Nagar.
It is decorated richly with fruits, flowers and pookalam and is home to a stream of people from dawn.
But this Onam, on Saturday, since all places of prayer and worship are closed on weekends, the temple was deserted and there was no sign of any decoration too....

As part of a beautification plan around the Nageswara Rao Park,  civic staff of the Mylapore  zone were at work this weekend at the junction of Luz Avenue and Ramachandra Road.
Cement patch-up work was in progress. A GCC official said the plan was to plant a number of saplings at this junction, mostly flower bearing plants to make this intersection colourful and pleasing to the eye....
