The most pertinent point is that it is not clear whether you can upgrade
between the two (product set dependent of course).
So if you are looking for a new greenfield installation, choose 3.1
If you have an existing implementation (pre 2.11 I guess) then you
first need to ask Murex whether they'll support your upgrade to 3.1 at all.
