Life, Unexpectedly

We finally had a real winter again this year, after two years of a long fall more or less turning into a rainy spring. But this year, not so much. There was snow, more snow, and double-digits freezing temperatures (double-digit on the Celsius scale)...

Yes, I have dropped off the face of the blogging scene. And yes, it's been more than a year. A year full of heart ache, tears, a near total break-down, and a slow step by step recovery. And yes, there has been lots of fun as well, celebrations, get-togethers...

It's all about the small things, right?

1. The kids meeting Santa for the first time (in the local mall). Mall Santas aren't common in Germany, so I was super-excited when I found out that there's going to be a Santa in our mall. And he was so incredibly nice to the girls. Calvin was not too...
