Learning The Frugal Life

I can't believe tomorrow is May 1st!  Where has the time gone?  This is getting into our busy season.  I guess I feel like it's always our busy season but this time of year is really busy!
We have fallen behind again on our credit card so my goal for May is to "make it work".  I am hoping to stay out of the stores for this month.  I want to use up what we have, if we don't have it, I will try and figure it out another way that doesn't...

Container gardening is an easy way to grow your own food.  My  daughter helped me plant salad greens and spinach in flower boxes the other day.  This will be incredibly handy in a couple weeks to go out on the deck and pick greens for our salads each...

This week will be a little hectic for dinner.  We will be at the ball field 4 nights for practice.  I am still not weight bearing on my foot so dinners are going to be easy and low maintenance.
Monday...Pulled pork sandwiches, veggies.
Tuesday...Clean out the fridge.  You find it, you can eat it....

April 4th I got my first seeds planted.  Peas, lettuce, spinach, kale and swiss chard.

I am so excited for the nicer weather and getting out and digging in the dirt.  My wonderful husband got my garden all tilled up a couple weeks ago.  I have added a new area along the edge of my original garden.  I'm hoping to transplant some raspberry...
