I have been in and out of virtual worlds now for more years than I care to mention, text, 2D, 3D with ever increasing levels of immersion and complexity and depth.
So it comes to pass that me and the other half have started falling down the rabbit hole of VR....

One thing that really annoys me is a certain lack of flexibility in MS land backups.
Apple have Time-machine which is really nifty and this can to a certain degree be emulated on Windows with a cost (usually).
But that's not what Kay is about! My want's was an incremental/differential backup tool which activates on a change to a directory and does the business. And did I mention is Free.......

OK before I get roasted YES I KNOW it's not the purpose for which it's intended, however....
It happens I have a couple of unused licenses so here are my thoughts on the topic of using a server OS as a everyday desktop system....

A while back an old but fairly decent tower server was chucked in my general direction, several weeks and much e-baying later for bits, and software upgrades and voilà!
KL now has a presence in Opensim, actually OSGrid.
Technically this has only been possible recently due to the home Internet gradually getting more seriously hefty, with the advent of a FTTP connection, +100Mbps speeds and the lower costs of some gear meant more for server rooms that home use, its basically...
