Jane Coslick Cottages

I loved this cottage and tried to get the owners to let me help them restore it. They wanted "new"
and could not see the potential in this magical place. A client of mine bought it so I had the opportunity to help move and save it and restore it. I wish it could have been restored where it sat because it has to be brought up the code and raised up...

Here is an opportunity to see "Maddie's Seaside Cottage" in person on May the 6th. Tybee Maritime Academy's Tour of Homes features nine amazing houses this year. It will be a mix of old and new and recently restored treasures much like Maddie's.

Maddies Seaside Cottage looks tiny ..feels tiny.. but has a surprise in store when you turn the corner
off the living room. It was a porch with no view(condo's went up behind the little cottage) .  I replaced the 6 old sliding door ( but kept the original transoms) put wood on the walls and added new atrium door that leads to the  the fun deck and out...

Sometimes work gets in the way of everything ! I love my job but it keeps me hopping with very little time to spare. I have missed not sharing my "ponderings "and memories with my blogger friends.  I will pick up where I left off in March and share Maddie...
