New rule:
Before you let something into your life (whether a person, place, or thing), ask yourself, “is this worth fighting for?”
For instance, let’s say you like someone a lot. Maybe you’re dating. Maybe you’re just acquaintances. Before you become close, you have to decide if this person is worth fighting for. If they are not, then don’t let them in....

As another year wraps up, it’s a good time to reflect on what you have learned and what you can bring into the next year.
I don’t believe in resolutions. I find them boring and mostly useless for me.
I find it highly valuable to reflect and meditate on lessons learned and also to visualize how you want the future to look....

Listen, I’m no expert on love.
In fact, I’m more of an expert on heartbreak. But, dammit, I know what love feels like and I believe it’s the reason we were all put on this Earth. Fuck money. Fuck fame. Fuck everything else that isn’t pure love.
From my perspective, love is intense and beautiful....

I moved to Arizona in July of 2015.
I came for a PhD program at Northern Arizona University and was to study linguistics and become a professor.
However, I ended up dropping out before the end of my first year.
