Distinguishing mother from sister using autosomal DNA matches
M (female) matches F (female) with 2923 cM half identical (51 segments) and 866 cM (identical) on 37 segments. Longest segment is 184 cM on the X chromosome. Have a 135.04 segment on another chromosome. 50.92% shared DNA.

Lunacy diagnosis plus a number - what does it mean?
One of my ancestors was a patient at Herrison Hospital, Dorset, in 1911. Looking at the census records for the hospital, alongside the word "Lunatic" is a number. In his case it is 43, and other patients have various numbers like 66, 28, 61, 30, 86 etc...

Regarding half siblings, sent my DNA to Ancestry came to a matchof half sibling at 1530 cMs @ 99% half sibling however was in contact with such match and he is claiming my father or one his two brothers had fathered him.
How can I be sure my father is the guy since neither brother or their children had taken DNA?...
