I know Reaper does lanes and its comping, while different is still fairly equivalent; a couple of things better but a couple of things missing/worse...so Im fully aware of lanes
One thing I used a lot in Cubase is track versions...so handy esp for clients when presenting variations...is there any way to achieve it ie without duping tracks/channels/lanes and fiddling with visibility?...

I use to work for high end architectural vendors (Graphisoft/Archicad) and they actually provided keymaps to transition new clients from eg Autocad, Revit etc...I thought it was a great idea...so is there an equivalent for Reaper
Its not just about creating a keymap, its about a user executing something known to the user using muscle mem to trigger an understanding of equivalent functions...

I am using Reaper control to initiate program changes on the ES8. Here is the discrepancy:
On the ES8, PC #1 correlates to bank 0, preset 1.
But in sending a PC #1 command from Reaper to the ES8, bank 0, preset 2. is instead recalled.

So... this will be difficult to reproduce since the thing involves Vienna Ensemble Pro.
With the obvious exception of fast modes (where things are rendered in parallel, which can't possibly work with that software), all render modes are fine (as long as anticipative FX processing is disabled on the VEP tracks)....
