Exuberant Color

Here is another of my favorite Winged Square blocks.  I hope it will fit in well with the others.
I thought the white with black print would look lighter and I thought the greens were possibly too dark.  Surprise, neither of those is true.  I really like this block but I'm not sure it will make the final cut....

Late in the afternoon the doorbell rang, there was a strange van in the driveway.  Who was at my door?  The guy from the floral shop........a great surprise!
When I baked the last batch of pink Spritz cookies at Christmastime I knew I wouldn't need all of them for gift packages.  I made the last group as hearts and put them in the freezer to pull out on Valentine's day....

Let's start the day with some caffeine (Dr. Pepper).

I ended up cutting blue and white Babble by Brandon Mably for this block.  It is a soft contrast block and I think I will make one more similar in contrast....

Occasionally there is a block that I really love and this is one of them.  It will just be part of the crowd in the quilt but it is a star on its own.
This is the next batch of triangles that I cut and sewed.  I had 2 sets of squares already cut and thought one of them would work with them.  Now I'm not sure....
