I made this card for my Dad for his birthday. The original cut file has the sentiment "nuts about you" which probably makes more sense . . . . but I needed a birthday card and those are kind of hard to find for a guy. :)
The silver background is actually a piece of tinfoil that I wrapped around cardstock and then embossed. The cardstock helps the tinfoil hold its shape.... -

I modified the base card a bit to turn it into a shaker card.
I added 2 pieces of acetate between the 8 layers of letters.
I also had to use dimensional tape to seal the places where the sequins could escape. I found that out the hard way! ;-) -

My mom is a super talented quilter and seamstress. She really tried to teach me how to sew, but it turns out I can't sew a straight line ;-) . . . but I can make cards.
When I saw this cut file in the Silhouette Design Store I knew I had to make this card for my mom. She loves fall and there is a sweet "quilt band" across the center....
