Bee Haven Acres... Tales From The Farm

 December arrived this year in the most dramatic way... with the fanfare of a Victory parade complete with frozen, white confetti floating to the ground.
A snowstorm heralded the change of season.  And though the calendar does not proclaim Winter's arrival, there can be no doubt that it is most certainly here....

 Somehow, almost imperceptibly, October slipped away from us.  Isn't that how it always seems with our favorite months?  Luckily, most of autumn remains in these early days of November.  However, the nights are getting colder and we find a slick layer...

There's nothing quite so delicious as a cool, autumn day spent here on the farm.
It started, as most do, before the sun rose.  The dogs and I were outside for morning chores as the navy sky brightened with the morning's first rays of sun. Mornings, this week, have been quite chilly - frosty, actually.  For the first time this season...

 I have always been like the robin... the first bird to sing in the morning.  Forever a go-to-bed-early kind of gal, I love waking up before the sun and venturing out into the pre-dawn darkness.
Watching the sky as the sun approaches fills me with anticipation.  Every passing moment brings a new surprise, a different play of light....
