Ashton Wears Things

Last year, one of my best friends moved to Vancouver after landing a job as a flight attendant with Air Canada. It took almost 12 months, but I finally made it there to visit her!
I had never been to Vancouver before, so I had a great weekend seeing the city and of course getting some shopping done. Included in my shopping  travels was an amazing trip to one of Canada's very first Charming Charlie stores in Surrey!...

I finished decorating my tree weeks ago, but in my shopping adventures since then I found a couple extra ornaments that were too cute to leave behind. So instead of finding a spot for them on the tree,  I decided to do something else fun with them!
I found the ornaments at Canadian Tire, but I also saw the exact same deer one at Hudson's Bay later so it might be available at stores in the US too if they were manufactured overseas!...

A few times in December, I make it a priority to spend the whole day baking.
I'm not much of a baker the rest of the year, but I just love holiday themed baking!
Peppermint everything and all kinds of cookies are my favourite things to make.

Although the first official day of winter isn't until December 21, us Canadians have come to understand that around here, winter pretty much starts on November 1. Mother Nature held true to this tradition, delivering us a dump of snow and freezing temperatures...
