Hurricane-level winds cause widespread damage in Unalaska
Hurricane-level winds slammed the Aleutian Islands Thursday night, ripping off roofs and tearing boats from their docks.
In Unalaska, the region’s largest city, the National Weather Service recorded wind gusts of up to 132 mph.

Exxon transfers Point Thomson operations on Alaska’s North Slope to Hilcorp
ExxonMobil has agreed to transfer operating responsibility for the Point Thomson field on the North Slope to Hilcorp.
Point Thomson, on state land east of Prudhoe Bay, is a large reservoir of natural gas and gas condensate.

Alaska COVID hospitalizations dip slightly after hitting record high
The state logged 861 new cases of COVID-19 among on Alaskans on Friday.
