Have you ever had a pouring of bourbon in your hot chocolate? I have, many times. What started as an extra something in my coffee (mainly Baileys, which has whisky of course) found it's way into my hot chocolate, which is dark and not too sugary.
So for today's Bundt Bakers' theme this bourbon hot chocolate bundt cake was the perfect fit....

Sometimes you just need a bowl of soup. A good one.
I made this lentil and carrot soup on a whim, to use up the ingredients I already had in the fridge, and to quench the inevitable soup craving I get when the weather starts to get chilly.
Also, I simply love this cookbook, which I also bought on a whim as explained in the post about the chocolate almond buckwheat cake....

Since it's officially spring here, it's officially fall for most of you reading this post. Time for the best fall cake I've made in a long time. Pumpkin apple streusel cake is your answer to chilly weather, crisp leaves and the need to be done with summer...

These cute, little, individual lemon and blackberry teacakes are my way of reluctantly inviting the beginning of cold weather into my kitchen. Berries and lemon, a sunny combination and an awesome recipe.
One of my favourite end-of-summer culinary things is to freeze berries individually....
