Writin' 4 Him

I’m a gal who craves peace and quiet.I NEED my moments of recharging and solitude. It just makes for a kinder, gentler Debbie (smiles).
However, PEACE has completely escaped my house the past few days. I can pretty much hear an official voice over a loud speaker coming from somewhere upstairs announcing, “PEACE has LEFT the building!”...

There’s that sweet little songbird again today. I wonder if he’s new to my back yard or if I’m just new to listening.
He’s hard to spot, so I just follow the sound of his melody from somewhere up high beautifully singing the song God gave him.
I love when I’m busy here in the kitchen, here at the sink, lost in my thoughts and sorting through all that clutters the mind, and the sweet gift of the songbird dances in on a breeze through the open window....

Some days, I should probably just stay out of the kitchen completely.
Some days, I’m clumsy. I pour in a wrong ingredient or miss one, entirely. I misread one of my own recipes OR, like yesterday…I spend ALL DAY working on a new recipe for cinnamon rolls. However, when I “invert” the whole pan of fresh and fluffy, hot...

So, I am a food blogger (like that’s news to you, LOL). My kitchen is my happy place. I love working on new recipes, tweaking old ones, cooking, baking even cleaning! I just love spending time in there.
But, what’s a gal to do when she spends a whole Sunday working on a recipe and it comes out looking like road kill deeming the fruits of her labors unworthy of the scrutinizing food blogging world??? We eat with our eyes first, right? Well seriously...
