I know I can build a .rar file with regular method or programs, and append it to an image by using a command such as cat img.jpg myfile.rar > img.jpg and when opening the image, the image will be displayed as before. But I can also open the image...

Why this is voted to delete?I mean my answer probably is not exactly what OP was asking for BUT it still fits as an answer, in a way OP did not exactly specify and therefor might be even helpfull for future readers. Or am I wrong here about something...
