Joseph had his "routine" endoscopy on Friday. Because of his Eosinophilic Esophagitis diagnosis, he must have an endoscopy every three to four months to check the eosinophil count in his esophagus, stomach, and top of small intestine.
Friday was the tenth time we have sent Joseph to the OR in his short life. This was the third time in eight months. The older he gets, the harder it becomes. He did okay in the waiting room but I could tell he was rather anxious. They called his name... -

Joseph was on spring break last week. His school is still on the, what I like to call, "old school schedule" of having spring break in March. The rest of the world where we live seems to be moving towards a winter break in February and a spring break...

It is so hard to believe that Joseph had surgery for his gastrostomy tube (g-tube) FIVE years ago yesterday, March 15. Where in the world has the time gone?! We were told Joseph would have his g-tube for a couple of years at most. Here we are five years... -
