Jasper Dark Sky Festival – Jim Cuddy Band – CN100
The kickoff for the Dark Sky Festival Jasper was ushered in with Maddie Storvold & The Jim Cuddy Band on our newly built Jim Vena Stage by Canadian National Railway.

Fryatt Hut – Sydney Vallance
One of my favorite huts from the Alpine Club of Canada. Sydney Vallance hut is located at the south base of Mount Fryatt.
The last part to the hut from the base of the campsite, it is a 1km section with 300 metre elevation gain which they call the “headwall”. This is where it get challenging, specially when it is frozen and slippery.... -

Mary Schäffer Loop
I find September to be the best time for hikes in Jasper. The tourist traffic is low, temperature is just about right. This loop is only 3km and it is very easy to walk around with very low elevation gain. Give yourself an hour or two to enjoy the beauty...
