So there is no way to have one folder on the phone backed up in 2 ways in 2 different folders on computer?

Yeah, although I think we’d need to have some real numbers (e.g. a benchmark showing how many files are processed per second, etc.) to draw decisive conclusions whether those old versions actually perform better.

It just seems mad that if, for example, I have a desktop and 5 devices that sync to it, then in order to stop the desktop from trying to make outbound connections to relays, I need to make changes on 5 devices, I cannot just make one change on the desktop...

I think there’s some room for improvement on the Syncthing side, even though the bottleneck is caused by Android. The performance differences people are reporting between 1.9.0 and 1.10.0 (which contains no Android API bumps or significant wrapper changes...
