Truthfully I am now completely confused. If your installation has no config and data folders then dokuwiki will issue a setup error, because dokuwiki requires these folders. This would be a problem if you were setting up dokuwiki and it failed to find...

After applying filter (like tag filter) whatever result is diplayed, how can I share it using a url..
The selected tags from dropdown list should appear in the URL.

Hi - thank you for documenting in so much detail how you did this. I'm still working through the details, I just want to point out one place you don't need to plugin code.
If you use the backlinks plugin along with headerfooter WITH the enhancements discussed in that page that the original author didn't respond to, you can use __footer.txt in the parent namespace (or _footer.txt in just notes if you don't want backlinks...
